In Case You’re Visiting Berryville…

I’ve been reading the town code. I think you should know what it says about sputum. And I quote:

No person shall spit, expectorate, or deposit any sputum, saliva, mucus, or any form of saliva or sputum upon the floor, stairways, or upon any part of any public building or place where the public assemble, or upon the floor of any part of any public conveyance, or upon any sidewalk abutting on any public street, alley or lane of the town.

Any person violating any provision of this section shall be guilty of a Class 4 misdemeanor.

Consider this a simple public service announcement. Don’t spit in the alley, boys and girls. Save yourself the $250 fine.

Caleb Nei is the Worship Arts Director at Emmaus Church in Berryville. He also teaches at least 40 piano lessons each week, is a member of the band Stereoreel, plays piano jazz at a couple of restaurants when Stereoreel isn’t playing, has three children, one wife and loves where God has him. He has a degree in church music from Huntington University and has studied jazz at Shenandoah University. He has no additional hobbies because he’s one of those people who have been able to get a job doing what he’d do for free anyway.
