Perspective

Is mine the right one?

Didn’t we just meet here last week?

Weren’t some of the same people here?

There are 168 hours in a week. If you sleep 8 hours a night you might have 112 conscious hours. 112 hours of a wandering mind. 112 hours of life that has the potential of getting you down. 6720 minutes. 403,200 seconds. Given that my mind can wander in the fraction of a second, that’s a million chances to go the wrong direction.

Colossians 3:1-3
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

So, yes. The same songs. The same people. Even the same God. But what!?

I’ve changed. I’ve moved. I’ve drifted. My mind hasn’t always been on the things above. I’ve been focused on the earthly things.

Let’s take a moment to change that. Forget the week. Forget the things below. Set your minds on things above.
