Worship Resources List

I was working on this list for a couple of camps I’m teaching this summer. I know there are a bajillion resources on the internet. These are the ones I personally use the most. Roughly in order of importance to me.

Planning Center
This is the “hub” for worship planning at most churches I know of. It’s pretty powerful. You can make a schedule, communicate with people, upload chord charts, mp3s and videos.

Worship Together
A great place for encouragement, interviews with songwriters, instructional videos, and chord charts.

Yes, I’m hawking my own website. But, you’re welcome to any of the chord charts for the songs we do at my church. Also, you might find my collection of Calls To Worship useful: calebnei.com/calebnei/come-and-worship.

Worship Musician Magazine
I’ve just subscribed to this magazine, but it looks pretty good, though I can’t say for sure.

Song Discovery and Worship Leader Magazine
songdiscovery.com and worshipleadermedia.com
I definitely recommend a subscription to Worship Leader Magazine and Song Discovery. The magazine is just what you’d expect. Song Discovery is a collection of the latest worship music on CD each month. (Chord charts included.)

Artists share royalty-free stock photos, church bulletins, sermon art, logos and more.

Don’t have money to buy the DVDs from Musicademy or Leadworship.com? You can find instruction for almost any song you can imagine. Some channels to check out:
I’m sure there are more. If you find some you love, let me know.

Igniter Media
My favorite site for purchasing artfully done still and video backgrounds for projected lyrics. Also, a great source for short, seasonal videos.

The best presentation software. Much more powerful than trying to use PowerPoint.

A great resource for instructional DVDs. From beginner to advanced.

This is Paul Baloche’s site. He has great insight as a worship leader. Also, I recommend is instructional videos.

Christian Musician Summit
Get training, either at an event, or by ordering instructional DVDs.

When you need more than chord charts check this out. Full sheet music arrangements. You can buy charts for as big a band as you might need. (Brass, strings, etc.)

Worship Matters
I have several friends that really like this one.

Caleb Nei is the Worship Arts Director at Emmaus Church in Berryville. He also teaches at least 40 piano lessons each week, is a member of the band Stereoreel, plays piano jazz at a couple of restaurants when Stereoreel isn’t playing, has three children, one wife and loves where God has him. He has a degree in church music from Huntington University and has studied jazz at Shenandoah University. He has no additional hobbies because he’s one of those people who have been able to get a job doing what he’d do for free anyway.
